Bridal Shower Themes

Romantic theme:

Someone suggested that I have an intimate shower, however receiving intimate apparel gifts at a shower isn’t for everyone. But, there are plenty of other items you can still use in a romance themed shower. These items can include scented candles, bubble bath, champagne, chocolates and other romantic items. If you choose to do a romantic shower be sure you are considerate to the soon-to-be-bride. You don’t want to do anything to embarrass her or give her anything inappropriate. For the hostess of this type of shower, good food would be chocolate covered strawberries, cupcakes or individual cheesecakes. Depending on the formality of the shower you are having favors may not necessarily need to be provided, but votive candles would be a wonderful favor.

Room Theme:

For this sort of theme shower you can tell guests to bring items related to
a certain room in the house whether it is the bathroom, bedroom or kitchen. Depending on which room your pick the gifts, food and favors will be different. For the bathroom for example, you may give bath beads or salts.

Recipe Theme:

At one of the showers I had, each guest brought a recipe along with their gift. This is a really nice idea. You can also do this theme another way by having a potluck where each guest brings something to eat along with their recipe. If you are really busy and don’t have a lot of time to put a shower together this can be a great option!
