Helpful Tips to Save on Your Veil
I know what you are thinking, how can it cost so much for a veil it is barely fabric! Veils can be very expensive depending on their length and intricate bead or embroidery.
There are a couple of ways to get around the high price of veils, no matter what type of veil you are looking for. The first way is to just make the veil yourself, start to finish. There are helpful places to get you started with everything you need like fabric stores and craft stores. The biggest help for me was Michaels. They have workshops and online tutorials to help you.
You should note though that if you are not very savvy with crafts then you might want to do what I did. We were able to find plain veils that have been formed with the tulle and combs already formed together. You can find these at your local alteration’s stores, which is a great cheaper alternative than buying the veil from your local bridal stores. Then you can add your own pearls, sequins, or any other beads to the veil. This is very simple depending on the length and intricacy of the design you are looking for. Depending on the beads you buy you can either stitch them on or glue them on. I recommend stitching the beads on because your veil is going to go through a lot on your wedding day and thread does a better job of holding the beads on then glue.
