To Seat Chart or Not To Seat Chart

June 6th, 2007 by TheBride

Seating charts can be a good option if you are going to be filled to almost maximum at your reception hall or if the two sides or your family don’t know each other well. If you are having a seating chart keep in mind that you want to mix people up.

You want to be sure that you don’t seat your side of the family at one table, and your fiancé’s side at another table. All this will do will separate your two sides of the family for the rest of the evening, especially if most of them have never met each other before.

This is actually one of the good reasons for having a seating chart because this way you are able to put different people together and thus encouraging them to interact and hopefully get to know each other better.
